Botchan

Synopsis

This is a rewritten work of Natsume Sōseki's masterpiece "Botchan," presented in the style of contemporary fiction. It depicts the journey of a reckless and overly honest protagonist as he leaves Tokyo to take a position at a middle school in Shikoku. Centered around his relationship with Kiyo, the only one who continues to believe in him despite being misunderstood by his family, the narrative retains the original's excitement and humanity while being made more accessible for readers. #Botchan #NatsumeSōseki #JapaneseLiterature #ModernLiterature #ClassicRewrite #ContemporaryRewrite #ModernTranslation #LiteraryRemake #LiteraryGiant #ComingOfAgeNovel #TeacherNovel #HumorNovel #Reading #Novel #ReadingClassics
