Chapter 7-4

by Han Yong-un

“Please give me the injection.”

“Didn’t we agree to reduce the number of injections and do it in the evening?”

“I still can’t stand it. I’ll just take it today, and from tomorrow I’ll reduce the number.”

“You shouldn’t do that. You said you have to endure the first day. If you can’t endure it now, it will be the same anytime. You’ll do this again tomorrow. Please endure it, even if it’s a bit hard.”

“Oh, this won’t do. I feel like I’m going to die right now, what should I do? Oh, I’m going to die.”

Dae-cheol twisted his body in agony.

To Soon-young, it felt like he was about to lose his breath, and her mind became hazy.

Soon-young ran silently to the next room and took out a towel that she had tightly wrapped and tied in the dresser drawer.

Her hands moved quickly to untie the knot and presented it in front of Dae-cheol.

“Here, I brought this, so do as you please.”

Soon-young grimaced.

Dae-cheol tried to give himself the injection in a hurry,

but his hands were shaking severely and he didn’t have the strength to stab properly.

“Honey, this won’t do. Please help me.”

Dae-cheol extended his arm.

“How can I do that? I don’t even know how to give it.”

“It’s fine to just stab anywhere. You saw me do it before. Just do it like that. Oh, I’m going to die.”

Dae-cheol grimaced and twisted his body.

“Then just stay still.”

Soon-young was so anxious that she tried to stab Dae-cheol's arm with the syringe,

but her hands were shaking and she couldn’t do it properly.

“Oh, this won’t do. Just stab anywhere and put in the medicine. At this rate, I’m going to die. Oh, I’m dying. Oh, I’m going to die.”

Dae-cheol screamed and twisted his whole body.

It felt like his limbs were twisting.

“Oh, what should I do… This is a big problem.”

Soon-young, sweating, barely calmed her trembling hands,

managed to give the injection.

Dae-cheol, who had been lying still like a person in a coma,

after a moment—

“Hoo!”

turned his body to lie down and opened his eyes.

Then he looked at Soon-young and said.

“If I had stayed just a little longer, I would have really died. This illness is not something that can be cured so easily. Just keep taking it until tonight, and from tomorrow, no matter what happens, I will reduce the frequency, so do it that way.”

He said pleadingly.

“But how can we know what will happen tomorrow? I have been holding off for months and now you say you will reduce the frequency no matter what starting today?

But how can you do this after barely three hours? This is a big problem.

Now, not only can we not reduce the frequency, but we can't even buy the medicine. So what am I supposed to do?

I will be kicked out of my home, have nothing to eat, and can't even buy medicine… how unfortunate is this?

Even if I have to beg later, I need to get better, right? How can you not endure this?

Think about it. This is a huge issue.

I was trying hard to cure your illness even if I starved to death later, but now it seems like neither this nor that will work… what should I do?”

Soon-young said this and turned around to wipe her tears.
